Why We Chose the Chakra
"

Cloth has always carried India's story.

Long before it sat at the centre of our flag, the wheel spun as Gandhi's charkha — turning homespun cotton into a quiet act of defiance against foreign mill cloth. When the tricolour was finalised in 1947, the spinning wheel gave way to the Ashoka Chakra, but the thread it represents — self-reliance, dignity, and care for what we wear — never broke.
